The Town of Middletown allows solar panels to be installed on homes, as long as you have received a permit to install them.
However, keep in mind that the Town of Middletown does not allow Net Metering (putting electricity generated by your solar panels back on our grid).
Pursuant to 26 Del. Code Section 1014(e)(7), the Town has exceeded its 5 percent capacity necessary to meet the Town's aggregated customer monthly peak demand, so the utility is able to elect to not provide new net metering service benefits of credits and payments to any new or additional customers.

Customers will still reap the benefits of solar energy by generating and using their own energy and not utilizing as much energy from the grid, but there will be no net metering benefits.
