Assistant Utility Billing Clerk
Answers inquiries from persons entering establishment, answers incoming calls, provides information and assistance with property settlements, and assists with customer utility bills by performing the following duties.
Essential Requirements:
• Receives and answers requests for information from Town residents, customers and the general public. Provides information regarding services provided by the Town.
• Provides back-up for final utility readings for property settlements and tenant move-ins/outs.
• Researches and resolves billings discrepancies.
• Disseminates tax information as requested by mortgage companies, attorneys, and banks for property settlements.
• Assists with utility billings.
• Assists with meter re-reads.
• Resolves utility billing discrepancies with customers.
• Works with various government agencies and charities to coordinate payment of delinquent utility bills for customers in need.
• Monitors past due utility accounts. Issues utility termination notices and assists customer payment commitments.
• Provides back-up coverage to cashiers.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
