Railroad Crossing to Close on Broad Street. Informational meeting Jan. 14

A meeting willl be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 6 p.m., at Middletown Town Hall Council Chambers to learn about an upcoming closure and detours around the Railroad Crossing at Del. 71 and Frogtown Crossing. This meeting is to provide information and answer question related to the upcoming Railroad Crossing Maintenance Project on N. Broad Street (Frogtown Crossing). This project is a joint project where Delmarva Central Railroad will be replacing the crossing surface and installing new warning lights. At the same time DelDOT will be replacing its Traffic signals and replacing the guardrail adjacent to the tracks.

This work will require a full closure of N. Broad Street at the railroad crossing and is anticipated to be from March 20, 2020 – March 31, 2020 prior to DelDOT’s Cedar Lane Road roundabout project. Attached is the draft detour plan. This plan is currently being reviewed by DelDOT and we expect to have approval by the end of 2019.
